Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

Spend Clock ("we," "our," "the app") is an expense and time tracking application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Permissions we request, and why

Camera — to scan receipts for automatic expense entry (OCR). Only accessed when you tap "Scan Receipt."

Photos/Storage — to attach a receipt image from your gallery, and to export/back up your data locally.

Notifications — for bill due-date reminders, running-timer alerts, and Pomodoro session alerts. You can disable these anytime in Settings.

Biometric (fingerprint/face) — only if you enable app-lock; used solely to unlock the app on your device and never leaves your device.

We request each permission only at the moment it's needed, not all at once during onboarding.

How we use your data

Advertising

The Free tier of Spend Clock displays ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads. You can see Google's own data practices at their Privacy Policy. Spend Clock Pro subscribers do not see ads.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the app: Google Firebase (authentication and database), Google Drive (user-initiated encrypted backups), Google Play Billing (payments), and Google AdMob (advertising on the Free tier).

Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app, or by emailing us at the address below. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Children's privacy

Spend Clock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app.
